NVFC Announces New Health Fair and Workshop Dates

Visit the National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) Heart-Healthy Firefighter Program trade show booth at one of several locations across the nation this spring. Following successful health fairs in Iowa and North Dakota this winter, the NVFC will provide free health screenings, a Health and Wellness Advocate Workshop, and Wii Fit Challenge to firefighters in West Virginia, Kansas, and South Carolina. An additional Health and Wellness Advocate Workshop will be held in Louisiana, and thanks to support from Honeywell, the NVFC booth will feature a special fitness demonstration at FDIC in Indiana.

At each show, the NVFC will also provide resources, tools, and information for first responders on topics such as health and safety, retention and recruitment, and safe vehicle operations. In addition, attendees can learn more about increasing capacity through Fire Corps, developing a junior firefighter program, and more.
