Never Too Much Garlic Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 5 cups - basmati Rice
  • 2 tbsp. - Canola oil
  • 2 - Medium onions, diced.
  • ½ cup - garlic
  • 7 ½ cups - water
  • ½ bunch - parsley


Cooking Procedure

  1. In a hot sautee pan, sautee the onion in the oil for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the rice and coat with the oil, onions and garlic.
  4. Add the water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce to a slow simmer, stirring frequently.
  5. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until all of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let rest for ten minutes. Fluff with a fork, taste and add salt & pepper if needed.
