Heart-Healthy Firefighter Booth Schedule
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) brings the Heart-Healthy Firefighter Program booth and Health Fair to several fire and emergency service trade shows each year. The booth includes interactive features to help promote heart-health and heart attack awareness in the emergency services.
As part of the Health Fair, the NVFC offers free cholesterol screenings. Over 16,000 firefighters, emergency services personnel, and their family members have been screened for heart disease risk factors through the Heart-Healthy Firefighter booth to date. The booth also features a fitness component utilizing Wii Fit and resources for getting and staying heart-healthy.
